Terms and conditions
Customer Registration Form:
Dogs will be accepted for grooming after the Owner (or other responsible person) has filled in and signed a Customer Registration Form.
By signing the form you are deemed to have accepted those Terms and Conditions, however; if Homely groom your dog in the absence of a signed Customer Registration Form, you are deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions set out here, which are subject to change at any time.
Pet Health:
Homely always do everything possible to make sure you pet’s time in the salon is as pleasant as possible. Occasionally grooming can expose a previously hidden medical issue or aggravate a current one. This can happen during or after grooming.
It is possible that an accident could occur during grooming. Upmost care and caution will always be taken, but cuts, scratches, nicks and quicking of nails could occur. Homely will not be responsible for any conditions or problems discovered during grooming.
Homely will not be responsible for accidental death of the pet as a result of any pre-existing health condition.
Should Homely determine, at its sole discretion, that urgent veterinary care is required, you agree to pay all associated fees and costs. If your pet’s vet is not available, you authorise Homely to use its chosen vet.
Matted Dogs:
In the event of any dog needing a shave/clip down, the dog owner will be asked to sign a shaving agreement. If the owner is not present, they will be called, and a form will need to be signed upon collection.
No dog will be subjected to stress or discomfort and all dogs will be groomed in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2007.
A shave-down will always incur extra fees, the only exception being a dog brought in by a recognised Rescue Centre Staff member.
Homely will not be liable for any after-grooming effects of de-matting, clipping or brushing procedures, or problems uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat including, but not limited to, skin redness, itchiness, or self-inflicted irritations from excessive external scratching or rubbing.
Whether a dog is matted is at the sole discretion of Homely.
Homely reserves the right to refuse to groom a pet in an unsatisfactory state, including, but not limited to, behavioural issues, fleas, ticks, other parasites or kennel cough.
Homely photograph and/or video every case of neglect brought into the salon for grooming and save a sample of fur. Homely Pet reserve the right to use these items as I deem appropriate.
Dangerous Dogs:
You agree that you have truthfully informed Homely if your pet has ever bitten another animal or a human, or if they have any other aggressive tendencies. You agree and understand that you will be held solely responsible for any injury, harm or damage to property caused by your pet.
Homely reserves the right to muzzle your dog, ask you to muzzle your dog or to refuse to groom it if it represents a danger to staff or other dogs in the salon.
Unless this has been discussed and agreed beforehand, Homely reserve the right to turn your dog away without grooming it - however the full starting price for your groom will still be charged because at that point Homely cannot fill your appointment.
Cancellations and no shows:
Homely operates a strict policy on missed appointments and late cancellations.
Less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a charge of 50% of your estimated groom.
Less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a charge of 100% of the estimated groom.
If appointments are missed on a regular basis, pre-payment will be required.
Late Collection:
I do not have facilities to keep your dog longer than the appointment, therefore if you are more than 30 minutes late for collection, there will be an additional charge of £5 for every 30 minutes or part of.
You hereby confirm that you understand and agree to all points stated above.
